The American Society of Nephrology’s AI Workgroup developed a framework for responsible AI use in nephrology, emphasizing patient benefit, clinician oversight, and innovation across CKD, AKI, dialysis, and transplantation care. It also identifies key challenges — including data quality, equity, transparency, and clinical integration — that must be addressed for AI to be effectively and responsibly implemented in kidney care.
