During this session we will explore advancements in Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) and its potential to transform organ procurement. Dr. Overbey from Duke Health will lead the discussion, highlighting the limitations of current pediatric NRP techniques and introducing a new approach developed by his team to improve donor organ viability and expand donor potential. Special considerations will be shared regarding the ethical and logistical challenges associated with NRP and its evolving role in organ donation and transplantation.
