The New MPSC Transplant Performance Metrics: Are You Ready?

Presented on: Tuesday, February 28, 2023

With the release of the new MPSC performance metrics, transplant programs throughout the country are wondering how these metrics will affect their programs. Over the course of this discussion, we will welcome Vanderbilt’s Transplant Quality Director, Lindsay Smith, who will review the 90-day and one-year conditional graft survival, offer acceptance, and pre-transplant mortality metrics as well as how to assess your programs’ current performance. Additionally, we will share tools that will aid centers in predicting future outcomes.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the MPSC post-transplant metrics that were released in July 2022 regarding 90-day graft survival and one-year conditional graft survival.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the MPSC pre-transplant metrics that are being released in July 2023 (offer acceptance) and July 2024 (pre-transplant mortality).
  • Identify a transplant program’s performance based on the new flagging criteria.
  • Develop meaningful tools to predict future outcomes.

Members of the donation and transplantation community serving diverse populations to include administrators, coordinators, physicians, nurses, surgeons, managers, quality improvement specialists, social workers, and other donation and transplantation center professionals and their colleagues.
