The Alliance Conversation Series
Outreach to Jewish Families: A Comprehensive Approach
Presented On:November 12, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm• EST

This webinar series is intended to provide a comprehensive exploration of cultural and religious perspectives on death, dying, and burial practices, shedding light on their significance in donation and transplantation. In this session, we will delve into sub-denominational considerations of the Jewish community, offer practical guidance on engaging with this faith community, and discuss ethical considerations and family opposition sensitively. Through case studies and analysis of current events, we’ll equip professionals with the knowledge and tools needed for effective engagement and connection within diverse religious contexts.

By the end of the panel discussion, the donation industry team member should be able to:

  • Locate resources to learn more about the community
  • Identify 2-3 common questions about donation from the community
  • Explain cultural significance of several burial practices, and identify word choices to alleviate specific concerns
  • Identify cultural and verbal/non-verbal considerations when advocating in faith spaces
