Timing is Everything: Strategies for Maintaining Timely Referrals Amidst a Pandemic

Presented on: Tuesday, September 08, 2020

Timing is Everything…especially when it comes to making a timely referral to your OPO. Our first line of defense when a hospital struggles with making timely referrals is to educate but what if there were other tools and resources that could be leveraged to aid other departments in assisting the bedside nurse to make that timely referral. In this webinar, we will review some of those resources as well as discuss what tactics are being used amidst a pandemic to maintain timely referrals.

At the end of the webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Produce a timely referral PDSA for their hospitals based off tools discussed in the webinar.
  • Employ new initiatives for maintaining collaboration with Hospital/OPO despite the national pandemic.
  • Identify a variation of resources to promote timely organ, tissue and eye referrals.
