The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance (The Alliance) has released a new update to its Terminology and Data References resource, a comprehensive online reference designed to help donation and transplantation professionals navigate the terminology, abbreviations and data definitions used across the field.
The cost-free resource brings commonly used terms and definitions together in one searchable location, providing professionals with a convenient reference for language used in clinical, operational, regulatory and data-related settings.
Bringing Definitions Together Across the Community
Terminology and data definitions can vary depending on the organization, regulatory body or context in which they are used. To help users understand those differences, the resource draws from more than a dozen regulatory and health care sources, including OPTN, HRSA and CMS.
The resource includes an extensive alphabetical listing of commonly used terminology and abbreviations, along with data definitions intended to support greater clarity and consistency across the donation and transplantation community.
Access the Updated Resource
The Terminology and Data References resource is available at no cost to the donation and transplantation community through The Alliance website. An Alliance user account is required for access.
Those who do not yet have an Alliance user account can create one at no cost.
