Building on the momentum of a highly competitive inaugural class in 2025, which drew more than 100 nominations from across the country, this year’s program continues to spotlight emerging leaders who demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and a deep commitment to advancing the field. Through the 40 Under 40 initiative, The Alliance reinforces its investment in workforce development and highlights the individuals who will drive the future of donation and transplantation.
Recognizing Impact Across the Continuum
The Alliance invites nominations from across the full spectrum of the donation and transplantation community, including organ procurement organizations, transplant programs, donor hospitals, healthcare systems, regulatory agencies, and industry partners. Candidates may nominate themselves or receive a nomination from a colleague or leader who recognizes their contributions and potential.
Nominees for the 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 must meet the following criteria:
- Submit a nomination directly or receive a nomination from a leader or colleague
- Work in the field of organ donation and transplantation, including OPOs, transplant programs, healthcare facilities, regulatory agencies, or related industry contributors
- Remain under the age of 40 before June 30, 2026
- Complete the nomination submission form in full

Nominations for the 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 remain open through May 1, 2026. The Alliance will announce the selected honorees in June 2026.
