The Alliance Opens Nominations for 40 Under 40 Class of 2026

Nominations for The Alliance 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 are now open, recognizing rising professionals who are shaping the future of organ donation and transplantation.

Building on the momentum of a highly competitive inaugural class in 2025, which drew more than 100 nominations from across the country, this year’s program continues to spotlight emerging leaders who demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and a deep commitment to advancing the field. Through the 40 Under 40 initiative, The Alliance reinforces its investment in workforce development and highlights the individuals who will drive the future of donation and transplantation.

Recognizing Impact Across the Continuum

The Alliance invites nominations from across the full spectrum of the donation and transplantation community, including organ procurement organizations, transplant programs, donor hospitals, healthcare systems, regulatory agencies, and industry partners. Candidates may nominate themselves or receive a nomination from a colleague or leader who recognizes their contributions and potential.

Nominees for the 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 must meet the following criteria:

  • Submit a nomination directly or receive a nomination from a leader or colleague
  • Work in the field of organ donation and transplantation, including OPOs, transplant programs, healthcare facilities, regulatory agencies, or related industry contributors
  • Remain under the age of 40 before June 30, 2026
  • Complete the nomination submission form in full

Building on a Competitive and Celebrated Inaugural Class

The 2025 40 Under 40 program set a strong precedent, with more than 100 nominations highlighting the depth of talent across the field. Honorees represented a wide range of roles and perspectives, reflecting the strength and breadth of the professional community advancing donation and transplantation.

With the 2026 class, The Alliance continues to elevate professionals who lead with purpose, bring forward new ideas, and strengthen collaboration across disciplines.

Key Dates and Next Steps

Nominations for the 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 remain open through May 1, 2026. The Alliance will announce the selected honorees in June 2026.
