The Alliance partners with SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates Partners to Provide Additional Learning Benefits for the Next Generation of Donation Ambassadors

The Alliance is pleased to announce a partnership with the non-profit organization SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates. Through this partnership, current SODA staff and youth ambassadors will have access to Alliance donation-focused learning programs with a Gold Circle Professional Partnership.

“A critical aspect of organ donation is engaging the younger generation to register as donors. SODA educates future leaders in donation and this partnership with The Alliance will ensure the staff have access to current innovations and effective practices shared through collaborative programming,” said Karri Hobson-Pape, Executive Director of The Alliance,

SODA is a nonprofit organization that inspires and supports student-led organ, eye, and tissue donation education and registration efforts on high school, college, and graduate school campuses. There are currently over 75 SODA chapters in 32 DSAs that have educated 124,500 people about the importance of donation and registered nearly 8,000 people as organ, eye, and tissue donors since 2014.

“Having access to the latest information in organ donation will help our team as we transform students into life-long donation advocates. Our new partnership with The Alliance is critical as we continue to build our leadership development opportunities, how-to guides, and other student resources and understand the ever-changing field of organ donation and transplantation,” said Nicole Nidea, Program Director at SODA.

“At The Alliance, we are dedicated to developing relevant, targeted and scalable learning solutions. Our learning portfolio is intentionally structured to support individuals, balancing both interactivity and convenience for the greatest learning outcomes. Supporting the SODA leaders is aligned with our mission to cascade innovation and share effective practices with future leaders,” said Corey Bryant, Senior Director of Communication and Strategic Initiatives at The Alliance.
