The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance (The Alliance) will convene a special Transplant Payer Collaborative Pre-Meeting on Wednesday, March 25, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET in Orlando, preceding the 2026 National Collaboration Forum: Transplantation & Donation Management, which will take place March 26 to 27.
Designed as an in-person working session, the pre-meeting will bring together transplant administrators, payer representatives and other key stakeholders to advance dialogue around payer engagement, reimbursement challenges, and emerging policy and operational considerations in transplantation. The session is open to all registered Forum attendees and will be held at the Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek Orlando.
Launched to foster sustained dialogue between transplant programs and commercial payers, the Transplant Payer Collaborative serves as a platform to explore shared challenges, identify opportunities for alignment, and support more informed, transparent engagement across the transplant ecosystem. Since its inception in 2025, the Collaborative has focused on strengthening mutual understanding between providers and payers while advancing practical solutions that support access, quality, and financial sustainability.
The March 25 pre-meeting agenda features targeted discussions on payer policy, reimbursement pathways, and operational implications for transplant programs. Jay Scott, Vice President of Provider Relations at Emerging Therapy Solutions in Minnesota, will discuss elements of the payer perspective, offering insight into how payer organizations evaluate emerging therapies, coverage considerations, and areas for improved collaboration.
The agenda will also include a focused session led by Bridgette Sullivan, Executive Director at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York, who will address the perfusion procedure code submission and application process, including implementation considerations and billing implications for transplant programs navigating evolving reimbursement structures.
Additional sessions led by members of the Collaborative leadership will highlight updates on current Transplant Payer Collaborative projects and future areas of focus, supporting continued engagement beyond the pre-meeting.
Participation in the Transplant Payer Collaborative Pre-Meeting is open to attendees of the National Collaboration Forum for an add-on registration fee of $49. Registration for the National Collaboration Forum is required in order to participate. Space is limited and expected to fill quickly.
The Transplant Payer Collaborative Pre-Meeting is intended for professionals seeking deeper engagement on payer-related topics and complements the broader Forum programming, which will address operational readiness, system modernization, financial strategy, and leadership across the donation and transplantation continuum.
Pre-meeting registration may be completed during registration for the National Collaboration Forum. Early-bird registration for the Forum is available through January 31.
