Optimizing Performance in the New Now

The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance (The Alliance) welcomed the nation’s donation and transplant leaders for the National Critical Issues Forum, held on September 5-6, 2024. This pivotal event, focused on performance optimization in the ‘New Now, gathered thought leaders from OPOs, transplant centers, hospitals, industry, government and regulatory entities to discuss a range of critical topics affecting the organ donation and transplantation sector of healthcare.

  • Identify and apply best practices for optimizing operational performance in organ transplantation programs, considering various systemic and geographic factors.
  • Adopt new organ preservation technologies and other advancements to enhance transplant outcomes and increase the availability of organs.
  • Develop strategies to improve access to transplantation services, ensuring equity and consistency in care regardless of geographic or institutional differences.
