Donor Council

A Donation Council is a self-govening hospital group that meets on a regular basis, typically once a month, and include members of leadership that are impactful within the hospital system, preferably individuals that have a connection to and/or are passionate about donation and transplant and includes Organ Procurement key staff members. Meetings are generally led by a senior hospital leader. Review of current donation metrics, discussion on missed potential/opportinities, and deviation from accreditaiton/regulatory policies are addressed. A remediation plan is developed and tracked monthly.
