ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Coordinate logistics of the recovery and transport of organs for human transplant
• Performs duties during scheduled 12-hour shifts
• Responds to new case inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinates with network of surgeons to identify appropriate and available recovery staff
• Schedules air and/or ground transportation for recovery staff, supplies, and/or recovered organs
• Clearly communicates all necessary surgeon, transportation, and equipment needs to donor coordinators, OR staff, and recipient centers as needed
• Collaborates with surgical teams, OPO staff members, OR staff members, and transplant center teams to facilitate the donation process
• Thorough documentation of all case activity in alignment with company best practices and standards
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED and post-secondary education in a related field
• EMT, LPN, RN, Medical Assistant, or another similar background
• Prior organ procurement or transplant experience preferred
• Current ABTC certification preferred
• Well-rounded understanding of the organ donation and transplantation process
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well as a team member
