• Clinical Oversight & Triage: Provide real-time remote guidance to frontline Specialists executing comprehensive medical referral screenings and suitability evaluations in accordance with OPTN and OPO policies and procedures. 

• Ensure Patient Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the final line of defense for quality care, ensuring all clinical assessments and recovery protocols meet rigorous safety and legal benchmarks. 

• Maximize Every Gift: Strategically guide cases to optimize donor management, clinical evaluation, allocation, organ suitability, through organ recovery—directly increasing the number of organs successfully transplanted. 

• Dual-Advocacy Leadership: Serve as the escalation point and strategic guide for high-stakes family interactions, ensuring a flawless balance between family care and donor advocacy. 

• Authorize & Uphold: Remotely review and ensure the strict legal and ethical validation of First-Person Authorizations.

What You Bring 

• Experience: Extensive experience within an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) specifically serving as an AOC/Risk Manager for minimum of two years required. 

• Regulatory Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of OPTN policies and state-specific Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (UAGA) laws. 

• Core Skillset: Exceptional crisis-management capabilities, sharp clinical triage judgment, and an advanced understanding of the full donation continuum (from screening through organ recovery).
