Nominations open March 25, 2026 through May 1, 2026 for our Honoree Class of 2026!

The Alliance is celebrating its second annual “40 Under 40” in the field of organ donation and transplantation to recognize young professionals who have made significant contributions to the community of practice through leadership, innovation and collaboration. This award honors individuals working in organ procurement organizations, transplant programs, healthcare facilities, regulatory bodies, and related industries. This honorary recognition will be conducted virtually via The Alliance website and social media outlets. 

Professionals working in organ donation and transplantation are invited to nominate themselves or a colleague. Please see the nomination criteria below.

All candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • May be self-nominated, or be nominated by a leader or colleague
  • Currently working in the field of organ donation and transplantation (in an organ procurement organization, transplant program, healthcare facility, regulatory agency, or related industry contributor)
  • Under the age of 40 prior to June 30, 2026
  • Must complete the nomination submission form in its entirety

The inaugural 40 Under 40 will follow the below timeline. Dates are subject to change without notice:

  • Nomination Period: March 24, 2026 though May 1, 2026
  • Adjudication and Selection: May 2, 2026 through June 1, 2026
  • Honoree Announcements: June 2026

Honorees will be announced on The Alliance website and promoted via The Alliance email and social media channels.

The final 40 Under 40 will be determined by a specially selected adjudication committee. Nominees will be adjudicated based on:

  • Leadership and professional achievements
  • Innovation and impact in the field of practice
  • Commitment to advancing organ donation and transplantation
