Advancing Equity and Expanding Transplant Access to Save More Lives in the Latino Community
In the United States, Latino communities face considerable challenges in accessing healthcare services, including transplantation. This discussion aims to deepen our understanding of Hispanic cultural values and beliefs related to donation and transplantation. By adopting culturally sensitive strategies, our panelists will demonstrate how transplant centers can effectively engage with the latino community to address these barriers and develop patient-centered initiatives that will provide equitable access to transplantation and improve outcomes.
