Ahlaya Martin graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and began her career providing trauma-informed support to patients and families. Her clinical experience includes working in the Burn ICU, where she assisted with wound care and supported patients during the early stages of recovery.
In 2025, she joined the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, where her primary role is supporting donor families through the organ, tissue, and eye donation process. She provides on-site response, guides families through sensitive end-of-life decisions, and serves as the liaison between hospital teams and donor families to ensure the donation process is carried out with dignity, clarity, and compassion.
She is committed to honoring the legacy of every donor and helping families navigate one of the most difficult moments of their lives with understanding and respect.
