My background is as an ICU RN for 2o years, last 4 in organ donation. I started as a clinical donation specialist, and found the role to be challenging, and allowed me to continuing learning new ideas and skills, which is incredibly imortant to me as a healthcare professional. 10 months ago, I began a new challenge as an Manager of clinical services, Having never been in a managerial position before has proven to be very different from my other roles as a bedside, or staff RN.
What I am looking for is continuing to grow as a CDS (I still perform multiple clinical duties) as well as to learn and grown as an educator and manager.
I want to provide a supportive relationship within my CDS team, and feel that a mentor may help me better understand my role, and how to improve myself withing that role.
