Anthony Honeywell, LMSW, is Manager of Organ Services at Gift of Life Michigan, where he applies nearly a decade of expertise in donation operations, family support, and strategic leadership. Known for his operational foresight and compassionate approach, Honeywell has made a lasting impact on both the clinical and human dimensions of the donation process.

Honeywell began his career at Gift of Life Michigan in 2016 as a Family Service Coordinator, where he supported donor families and played a lead role in guiding consent conversations. He was the department’s first Preceptor and led orientation efforts for new staff. In 2020, he was promoted to Manager of Family Services, where he expanded the team from 7 to more than 20 coordinators and implemented a 24-hour staffing model that significantly enhanced responsiveness and support.
Among his key achievements, Honeywell helped develop the organization’s Response and Readiness Assessment – a framework to promote timely, compassionate conversations with families about donation opportunities. He has been a frequent presenter at both statewide and national conferences and authored abstracts accepted for national forums in the field.
Now serving as Manager of Organ Services, Honeywell focuses on increasing organ utilization and refining best practices in referral management. His leadership continues to shape operations that honor donor intent, improve clinical outcomes, and support hospital partnerships across the state.
