Cass McCharen (UVA MSDS ’21) is a data scientist at the United Network for Organ Sharing, where she is fortunate to research organ transplant offers, patient outcomes, transplant community institutional relationships, and diverse text analysis. She aspires to use probabilistic statistics to quantify uncertainty in transplantation simulation and survival models. Previously Cass worked as a data analyst in multiple consulting and finance contexts before finding a home in the magic of data science. For fun, Cass accompanies singers and makes cocktail bitters.
