Dr. McCarthy is a cardiothoracic surgeon who specializes in lung transplantation. He serves as the Surgical Director of the UW Health Lung Transplant Program, the Director of ECMO, and the Section Chief of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. McCarthy is involved in all areas of thoracic surgery, with an emphasis on surgery in patients with advanced lung disease.
