Diane Nowak

I started working with pre and post transplant patients in 2004 – liver, lung, heart, pancreas – providing nutrition assessment, cares plans and diet education.  I also worked with post LVAD patients and patients on artificial heart awaiting transplant providing nutrition assessment, care plans and diet education.  My current position since 2008 is working with pre and post solid organ transplant patients in the ICU on mechanical devices including RVADs and ECMO awaiting transplant providing nutrition assessments, writing nutrition support prescriptions for tube feeds and parenteral nutrition, collaborating with the ICU care team and working with patient families.  I also work with post liver transplant patients and liver donors in the surgical ICU providing nutrition assessment, writing nutrition support prescriptions for tube feeds and parenteral nutrition, collaborating with the ICU care team as well as working with the patient families.  I also have experience working with cystic fibrosis patients pre and post lung transplant.
