Ian Jamieson is the Vice President, Duke Transplant Center at Duke University Hospital and has been a transplant center administrator for more than 25 years. Ian holds three degrees from three different countries. His undergraduate finance degree is from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, his MBA is from Durham University, England and his Masters of Health Administration is from the University of Florida. Ian was with University of Florida Health for 15 years before moving to the University of Iowa Transplant Center in 2008 where he was the Chief Administrative Officer for four years. Ian was recruited to the Duke Transplant Center in 2012, which has recently become one of the largest transplant centers in the US by volume of transplants performed.

He has been very active in transplant administration at a state, regional, and national level, and was the Chairperson of the OPTN Transplant Administrators Committee, Chairperson of Florida’s Agency for HealthCare Administration Organ Transplant Task Force, and a member of both the OPTN Membership and Professional Standards Committee (MPSC) and Data Advisory Committees. In 2020, Ian was appointed the Chair of the OPTN MPSC and was honored with the Heckenkemper Leader in Transplant Administration Award.
