What makes your career in organ donation and transplantation special? My career in organ donation and transplantation is special due to my unique background. I did not intend to work in transplant or quality when I was in school and starting my career. However, my initial exposure to transplant patients while working in cardiac rehabilitation piqued my interest, and I have never wanted to work in any other field since. I bring a unique combination of healthcare and data analytics experience to my current role, allowing me to drive meaningful insights and impactful outcomes. This blend of skills has been instrumental to my contributions to the ever-changing field of transplantation. Ultimately, the patients are at the heart of everything we do, and my background has equipped me to support them in an effective and meaningful way.

Biography

Jenna Lawson, MS, is the Senior Quality and Patient Safety Advisor at the Vanderbilt Transplant Center, where she leads high-impact initiatives to improve quality outcomes, optimize regulatory readiness, and elevate the standard of care for transplant patients. With nine years of experience in the field, Lawson is widely recognized for her expertise in systems improvement and her commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in transplant operations.
