Dr. John Scanlon is a lifelong student of how to achieve maximum effectiveness in organizations and people. Trained in chemical engineering and applied mathematics, John sees organizations as dynamic, complex systems that can bring individuals together to create extraordinary results for themselves and for the communities and markets they serve.
John has been a strategic advisor and designer for leadership coalitions pursuing large-scale transformational change in governmental program systems. He worked in public and private initiatives such as the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Organ Donation Breakthrough Collaborative and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Partnership for Patients. Throughout, John has worked with teams who were successful in assuming leadership accountability and running leadership campaigns. He has also worked with a network of colleagues from these efforts to capture how this type of personal leadership constitutes what he calls Signature Style leadership, which is the crux of this book.
