Brief Bio

Dr. VanSickle has been involved with the field of pediatric nephrology for over 15 years. She serves on the faculty of University of Missouri, Kansas City and The Children’s Mercy Hospital as Associate Professor of Pediatrics. She also serves on several national committees involving public policy, quality control and patient’s safety. She is a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics and American Society of Nephrology as well fellow of JELF advocacy program. Her advocacy work focuses on improving the life of children with end stage kidney disease as well access to renal transplantation. She is a board member of the Kansas chapter of American Academy of Pediatric as well co-chairs the local Public Policy Committee.

Specialties: Renal replacement therapy, pediatric renal transplantation, apheresis, bone and mineral disorders, general pediatric nephrology, obesity medicine.
