Chaplain Katelynn (Katie) Dalton, New England Donor Services Aftercare Specialist: Katie Dalton (she/her) is a Board Certified Chaplain with 10+ years of experience as an Interfaith Hospital Chaplain primarily focusing her ministry on supporting ICU patients and their families as well as the ICU Interdisciplinary team. During that time she accompanied countless patients and family members as they navigated acute grief and loss. In February 2024 Katelynn was published in CHEST about the importance of integrated Spiritual Care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. She recently transitioned away from bedside Chaplaincy to accompany donor families in their initial experiences of grief as well as their long-term meaning making as an Aftercare Specialist with New England Donor Services. Outside of her work she spends her free time with her husband running after their 6, 4, and 1-year-olds and delegates the majority of the chasing to their golden retriever when necessary.
