Kelsey Crowley serves as the Organ Procurement Manager at Donor Alliance, where she brings seven years of multifaceted experience in organ donation, spanning family support, operating room coordination, and leadership in procurement services. Her career is marked by thoughtful innovation, operational excellence, and an enduring commitment to supporting both teams and families throughout the donation process.
She was nominated for The Alliance 40 Under 40 by Jordan Lykens, RN, BSN, CPTC, Learning and Development Specialist at Donor Alliance. “Kelsey has had a far-reaching impact in the field of organ donation and transplantation,” Lykens shared. “From her roles in Family Support and Organ Recovery, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to the mission. She is recognized regularly for her leadership and mentorship, and she consistently goes above and beyond to support her teammates.”
Among her most meaningful contributions, Crowley led the implementation of noise-cancelling headphones during all Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) cases — a practice now standard at Donor Alliance. This initiative has improved the donation environment by reducing clinical noise for the donor during end-of-life care, preserving donor dignity and offering emotional support to grieving families.
She also played a central role in redesigning the organization’s post-OR kidney allocation process, a project that contributed to Donor Alliance achieving one of the lowest kidney non-use rates among OPOs nationwide in 2024. Her strategic approach and operational insight have made her a trusted resource within her department and across multidisciplinary teams.
