Kim is a 25+ year Transplant Executive who has worked at both transplant centers and OPOs during her career. During that time, she has held several leaderships positions within the community including serving on the OPTN/UNOS, Kentucky Organ Donation Affiliates and The Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania Board of Directors. She also served on many committees including the Transplant Administrators Committee (TAC) of UNOS and was the Chair of the Network Operations Oversight Committee (NOOC)/Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) for the OPTN/UNOS. Kim currently serves on the Transplant Leadership Council for The Alliance.
Kim is very passionate about access for underserved and vulnerable populations. Her leadership and emotions are deeply personal as a donor family. In 2007, her mother’s organs were donated upon her passing. And while she celebrates one uncle giving the gift of life as a live kidney donor, she’s mourned the loss of another uncle who died while waiting for a lifesaving heart transplant. Kim strongly believes that every patient who needs a lifesaving organ transplant should have the opportunity to get one.
As both a donor family and transplant professional, Kim’s unique perspective and experience adds value in many areas. In her current role with KODA she works on processes targeted at improving all aspects of organ utilization.
