Brief Bio

Laura Hulse is the Transplant Program Supervisor at The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, VA and has over 20 years of experience in the field of transplantation. Prior to joining CHKD, she held multiple roles with several transplant programs across the country, such as a transplant coordinator, transplant educator, and transplant quality improvement coordinator.

Ms. Hulse received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing with emphasis in Healthcare Quality Research from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her academic interests include adolescent and young adult transplant patient outcomes through the transition process from pediatric to adult healthcare settings, as well as healthcare quality improvement and patient safety throughout the transplantation continuum.
