Laura Stillion, M.H.A., FACHE is the administrative director of transplant services, dialysis and the clinical laboratories at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was UNOS Treasurer for 2013-2015 and has also served on the OPTN/UNOS transplant administrator committee finance, ethics, communications, patient affairs committees and is currently serving on the membership and professional standards committee. She is chair of Lifeline of Ohio’s medical advisory board and a member of its board of directors. She is past chair of the Ohio Second Chance Trust Fund and of Ohio State University (OSU) Medical Center’s “Buckeyes for Life,” which promotes donation on the OSU campus and in surrounding communities. Laura also served on the executive committee of the American Society of Transplantation and currently serves on the board of the Ohio Solid Organ Transplant Consortium, representing both patient and institutional needs related to transplant equity and access. This webinar will explore effective strategies for implementing a successful perfusion program at a transplant center with respect to renal imports. Some transplant centers are working from the ground up and are unsure of how to best develop this type of program. Bearing this in mind, we will be joined by Laura Stillion and Molly Urbancic from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center who will highlight how they managed to build an HMP program. They will review the successes, challenges, and potential opportunities for improvement as it relates to HMP programs.
