Lindsey Lehman, MPH, MHA, FACHE, serves as the Associate Administrator for Hospital Operations at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where she provides executive leadership for both heart and liver transplant services. She also holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. With a decade of experience in healthcare operations —a nd six years focused specifically on donation and transplant — Lehman is known for her ability to drive organizational excellence while remaining deeply committed to the human stories at the heart of her work.
She was nominated for The Alliance 40 Under 40 by Katie McKee, Transplant Administrator at Mayo Clinic. “Lindsey meets every donor family personally,” McKee shared. “To my knowledge, she is the only hospital administrator in the country to so consistently honor donor families in this way. She models presence, compassion, and innovation in everything she does.”
Lehman is a visible and hands-on leader, making daily rounds to engage with frontline teams across transport, admissions, critical care, and support services. Her approach to servant leadership has fostered a culture of respect and connectedness that extends from administrative operations to bedside care.
In addition to her transplant leadership, Lehman has supported clinical operations in Critical Care, Tele-ICU, Endocrinology, and Pulmonary Medicine. She has served as Vice Chair of Hospital Operations and played a founding role in the Mayo Clinic Administrative Internship Program, mentoring early-career professionals through structured exposure to healthcare management. She also serves as the Rochester Site Director for the Administrative Fellowship Program and is the preceptor for the Army Baylor Administrative Fellow at Mayo.
Lehman’s contributions extend beyond Mayo Clinic. She serves as Secretary for the ACHE Minnesota Board and was honored in 2024 with the ACHE Minnesota Regent’s Award. She is also an active community volunteer, including with United Way of Southeast Minnesota.
