Only Skin Deep: Telepathology & Kidney Recovery

Tuesday, March 07, 2023, at 2:00pm

Telepathology helps Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) and Transplant Centers effectively evaluate kidney biopsies to identify the best recipient match for the donor organ. Over the course of this discussion, we will discuss the pitfalls of kidney biopsies, the benefits to standardized biopsy criteria, and the utilization of telepathology to expedite kidney placement.
