Nimi Tarango is the Administrative Director of the UCSF Advanced Heart Failure Comprehensive Care Center and a nurse practitioner with 30 years of nursing experience, including 20 years specializing in pulmonary hypertension and advanced heart failure, combining deep clinical expertise with patient-centered leadership. She earned her nursing degrees from San Francisco State University and the University of California, San Francisco, and has led quality improvement initiatives, innovative care models, national program accreditation, research, and publications while serving as a Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Nursing. Actively engaged in national professional organizations and the recipient of multiple prestigious nursing awards, Nimi is committed to advancing excellence in cardiovascular care, education, and strategic program leadership while maintaining a strong focus on patients and families.
