Brief Bio

Rodney’s OPO journey began in 2013 as a Donation and Family Advocate for Donor Network of Arizona, followed by work as a Hospital Development Specialist with Tennessee Donor Services. In 2016, he returned to his hometown, joining HonorBridge as a Family Support Coordinator and later advancing to Manager of Family Services.

Recognizing the need to adapt to a substantial increase in donor referrals, HonorBridge created a new role for Rodney – Manager of Approach and Referral Optimization. In this crucial position, he develops triaging strategies, efficiently manages referral volumes, ensures timely responses, and optimizes the process from the initial referral to authorization.

Rodney also contributes significantly to the training and onboarding of new Family Support Coordinators. He has provided in-person and virtual training nationwide, focusing on overcoming FPA oppositions for family services departments across the country. Working with other OPOs nationwide and collaborating with many amazing people is what Rodney loves the most.
