Ryan Cormier, MSOL, CTBS, is the Director of Tissue Services at Gift of Life Michigan, where he brings over a decade of leadership in tissue recovery, strategic program development, and quality systems improvement. With a focus on operational excellence and a passion for mentorship, Cormier has helped shape a high-performing department that continues to raise the standard for tissue donation.

Cormier began his career in the emergency medical field before transitioning into tissue banking, where he quickly rose through clinical and supervisory roles. Now, as Director of Tissue Services, he oversees operational and strategic functions that support the recovery of life-enhancing tissue grafts used in surgeries across the country.
Among his notable achievements, Cormier has developed a tissue services leadership training program, improved retention and recruitment strategies, and helped optimize quality systems to enhance recovery timelines and clinical outcomes. His work has been essential in promoting alignment between internal teams, hospital partners, and national networks.
He holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS). Cormier is recognized across the field for his collaborative spirit, solution-oriented mindset, and dedication to honoring the generosity of donors and their families.
