I am the Education Nurse Coordinator at the University of Michigan Transplant Center, where I provide education, support, and regulatory guidance to nursing and clinical staff serving both adult and pediatric transplant populations. My responsibilities span all organ groups, ensuring staff are well-prepared for both pre- and post-transplant care through comprehensive training and compliance oversight.
With over 16 years of experience in transplant nursing, I previously dedicated 14 years as a Pre-Kidney Transplant Coordinator, developing extensive skills in staff education, care coordination, and interdisciplinary team collaboration. I further broadened my expertise during two years as a Transplant Float, supporting multiple organ programs, and through a 10-month appointment in Infectious Diseases, where I enhanced my knowledge of infection prevention, complex treatments and regulatory standards.
I hold a Master of Science in Nursing and am a Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC). In addition, I have served on the Board of Directors for the International Transplant Nurses Society (ITNS) for the 2023–2026 term, contributing to the advancement of transplant nursing at a global level. I am committed to promoting excellence in transplant nursing through effective staff education, advocacy, and regulatory compliance, helping the University of Michigan Transplant Center deliver safe, high-quality care to all patient populations.
