Brief Bio

Managing or reducing stress in the workplace and building meaningful relationships has been the foundation of my career. After studying anthropology, I worked in the mental health field and human services for nearly 20 years. During this time, I was a residential counselor, intensive case manager and conducted a train the trainer course in de-escalation and trauma informed care for hospital professionals throughout the states and Canada. These experiences showed me the importance of working together to seek understanding and create learning environments to share meaningful experiences. Being in hospital development has brought together my passion for end of life work with my experience in training and development. Bringing together OPO staff and Hospital staff to reduce stress around the organ donation process is so vital to support families and donors. It is an honor to be a part of supporting someone’s legally binding decision to be a donor. I am grateful.
