Medical innovations are often criticized as providing incremental benefit in exchange for astronomical cost. However, occasionally an innovation comes along that completely transforms a field for the better. Liver perfusion devices need to be given the chance to prove if they indeed are this generation’s transformative change agent in transplantation.
