- Alliance AI Donation & Transplant Resource Collaborative: This national, multi-stakeholder effort will convene, coordinate, and accelerate the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of organ donation and transplantation. This initiative will focus on identifying current research, sharing best practices, and promoting collaboration among organizations pursuing overlapping or complementary efforts. The goal is to reduce redundancy, promote alignment, and enhance the collective impact of AI applications in improving outcomes and efficiency in the donation-transplantation ecosystem.
- Convene a Cross-Sector Working Group: Bring together representatives from leading associations, societies, research institutions, and private sector innovators.
- Inventory Current Activities: Create a comprehensive map of AI-related projects, pilots, and research currently underway in organ donation and transplantation.
- Facilitate Knowledge Exchange: Enable stakeholders to learn from each other’s successes and challenges in AI application.
- Promote Strategic Collaboration: Identify overlapping efforts and facilitate opportunities for alignment, co-development, and data-sharing.
- Identify Programmatic Priorities: Produce guidance and strategy documents that identify promising areas for AI investment, and infrastructure support.
