Julie Hendrix Anderson, MSN, MPH, RN, CCTC is the Assistant Director of Quality/Quality and Safety Manager for the Transplant Center at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Mrs. Anderson received her dual Masters in Nursing and Public Health at the University of South Carolina after completing a Bachelors in Nursing at Clemson University. After caring for kidney transplant patients as a clinical coordinator, Mrs. Anderson joined the newly established Transplant Quality team in 2015 which supports all solid organ transplant programs. She has served on the American Society of Transplantation (AST) Administration and Quality Management Executive Committee, and currently serves as volunteer faculty for the Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance Transplant Webinar Series. Mrs. Anderson leads a team of quality coordinators and analysts whose mission is to support data-driven decision making, to hardwire regulatory compliance, and to enhance patient safety across the transplant continuum.
COVID Vaccines & Transplantation: Where Are We Now?

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, all US citizens were encouraged to maximize protection efforts by getting all recommended vaccine doses and boosters, but there was concern about how the vaccine would affect the immunocompromised. For example, are there any special considerations for transplant recipients? During this webinar, we will welcome experts from Johns Hopkins and NYU Langone who will discuss the varying practices across the country and review what the outcome data shows thus far. Additionally, our panelists will discuss the impact of the new variants of COVID-19 on vaccine recommendations and monoclonal antibody associated immunoprotection.
