I am currently a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University where I serve as the medical director of Pediatric Heart Failure/Transplantation and the Associate Section Chief for the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Therapies (PACT) Program. My primary clinical efforts range from managing stable outpatients to those requiring inpatient management of acute decompensated heart failure and those who have undergone heart transplantation. In my role as medical director, I am primarily responsible for our program’s transplant policies and procedures and quality outcomes assurance. In particular, I have helped to develop and implement novel immunosuppression protocols, including our steroid-sparing induction regimen for low-risk patient and antibody mediated rejection (AMR) treatment guidelines, and multi-organ transplant protocols.
