The Alliance Conversation Series is a cost-free, fast-paced collaborative opportunity. Through shared insight, multidisciplinary experts identify solutions to critical challenges affecting the community of practice. The Alliance is not an advocacy organization and always intends to maintain an objective and unbiased perspective.
Overview: This session will explore managing AUD and Medical Marijuana use in transplant candidates. We will discuss equity of access to transplant, establishing an AUD program, resources and support needed, and how to advocate for these resources at your center.
- Participants will review key aspects of AUD and cannabis use in transplant recipients.
- Participants will understand the components of an AUD and THC program.
- Participants will be able to identify critical support and resources needed to establish an AUD and THC program.
- Participants will identify resources needed to provide ongoing support for this patient population.
Members of the donation and transplantation community serving diverse populations to include administrators, coordinators, physicians, nurses, surgeons, managers, quality improvement specialists, social workers, and other donation and transplantation center professionals and their colleagues.
