Pediatric Organ Donation & Transplantation

The National Pediatric Donation and Transplantation Summit, endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, convened the country’s leading experts, including pediatric specialists, intensivists, organ recovery professionals, transplant surgeons and more, to explore the current state of organ donation and transplantation in pediatrics. Areas of focus included determination of death laws, approach and authorization strategies, ethical considerations, donor management, DCD, transplant outcomes, and other unique opportunities and applications for pediatric patients.

Nursing: The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance is offering 13.5 hours of continuing education credit for this offering, approved by The California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP17117. No partial credits will be awarded. CE credit will be issued upon request within 30 days post-forum.

CEPTC: The Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance will be offering 13.5 Category I CEPTC credits from the American Board for Transplant Certification. Certified clinical transplant and procurement coordinators and certified clinical transplant nurses seeking CEPTC credit must complete the evaluation form within 30 days of the event.
