Jasmine Silva is a licensed clinical social worker and has worked at Nebraska Medicine for 17 years in various areas including oncology and palliative care. She has been a transplant social worker covering all areas of adult solid organ pre-transplant and post-transplant care and primarily works with the heart transplant and LVAD patient population since 2014.

Transplant patients and their families may experience significant distress throughout the transplant process. Similarly, transplant staff who are directly involved in transplant patient care can also experience distress or burnout. During this webinar, we will discuss what these stressors may look like, review the psychosocial issues experienced in each phase of transplant, and how to recognize and support patients and their caregivers.
