Leah Buck, Administrator on Call at LifeCenter Northwest
Leah grew up in Southern Oregon, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona.
Leah started her career as an RN at the University of Arizona. She then moved to Seattle to work at the University of Washington with oncology patients, specializing in stem cell transplant. While at UW, Leah trained to critical care, working in the Medical/Oncology ICU, there she was first exposed to the front lines of organ donation and the work of the onsite coordinators.
Leah joined LifeCenter Northwest in 2018 as an organ recovery coordinator and promoted to AOC earlier this year. Most recent special interest projects include initiatives to increase lung utilization, specifically by standardizing the use of proning within LifeCenter clinical practice guidelines.
