Brief Bio

Rebecca Hellmann brings a unique blend of corporate experience combined with mindfulness and self-compassion training. As such, she can empathize deeply with the stresses of today’s workforce and has an approachable and supportive way to begin bringing mindfulness into a busy life.

An award-winning businesswoman, Rebecca spent more than 25 years in marketing leadership positions, including roles as a Marketing Vice President at a Global Fortune 15 company and most recently as Chief Marketing Officer at a rapidly growing rocketship of a start-up.
In 2020, Rebecca left the world of marketing leadership to follow the nudge in her spirit to explore more deeply the practice of Mindfulness & Meditation. After her certification as a Mindfulness Teacher, she continued her professional growth, becoming a certified HeartMath trainer in 2021 and continues to practice and teach in the area of mindful self-compassion as well.

Rebecca received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her MBA from the Fisher College at The Ohio State University. Rebecca lives in Columbus, Ohio and welcomes the quiet, as well as relishes the chaos that comes from a busy, joy-filled life with four children.

What is Resiliency and How Can I Develop It?

After a world-wide pandemic and what has felt like constant upheaval in both our professional and personal lives, how can we navigate the ongoing forces of internal and external stressors? Resiliency is defined as the capacity to prepare for, recover from and adapt in the face of stress, adversity, trauma or challenge (HeartMath definition) and in this course we will discuss what resilience could look like in donation and transplant work, identify the personal and organizational roadblocks to better resilience and explore practices for improved resiliency.
