I have been with UNC Health for 15+ years, starting my nursing journey as a nurse in our children’s hospital. In 2013 I joined our Transplant department as a Post-Heart Transplant Coordinator. During my time in that role I was reminded of my love for all things education and moved into the role of Transplant Service Education Coordinator in January 2020.

We’ll discuss two methodologies being employed for utilization of DCD (Donation after Circulatory Death) donors and the impact it’s having on the ability to offer life-saving transplants to those in need.
