Jullie Hoggan serves as Transplant Director for patients.app, where she works to accelerate the path from referral to transplant listing by helping transplant teams and referring clinicians quickly identify key information and potential barriers hidden in thousands of pages of medical records.
She previously co-founded Square Knot Health, where she led operations and a team of navigators who helped patients conduct a living donor search while supporting them from referral to listing and ultimately through transplant. The team also educated hundreds of potential living donors, helping them understand the evaluation process and explore donation.
In addition to her professional roles, she serves on the Public Policy Committees for the National Kidney Foundation and Transplant Recipients International Organization and is a member of the OPTN Patient Affairs Committee representing Region 1 and the Alliance AI in Transplantation & Donation Collaborative. She is also a member of the Patient Engagement Group for the Polycystic Kidney Disease Research Resource Consortium (PKD RRC) and serves as Chair of the Board for Kidney Solutions: A Network of Transplant Experience.
She previously worked as a hospital-based speech-language pathologist for 24 years, where she saw firsthand how difficult it can be for patients to manage complex health care systems.
She is also a kidney transplant recipient and received a preemptive pediatric en bloc kidney transplant in 2020.
