Kristin Smith graduated with her MSN from Xavier University in 2009. She worked in multiple areas of nursing over several years but her family connection to transplant led her to pursue a role in the field when she moved to Nashville in 2014. She started as a kidney post-transplant coordinator before coming the lead transplant coordinator. She is currently the Manager for the Abdominal Transplant and Living Donor Programs at Vanderbilt Transplant Center.
