Rapid City Regional Hospital Receives Federal Gold Recognition

Rapid City Regional Hospital in South Dakota receives a federal award: “Gold Recognition National Hospital Organ Donation Campaign Award” on March 12th for their efforts in 2014 to educate staff and the public about the importance of organ donation.

Susan Gunderson, Life Source Chief Executive Officer,  presented the honor, spotlighting Rapid City Regional Hospital’s efforts to help solve the organ shortage.

President of Rapid City Regional Hospital Mick Gibbs said, “The team here at Rapid City Regional Hospital is swelling with pride at this national award. Being one of the rare hospitals in the United States to receive this award is a reflection of the excellence, the exceptionalism of the caregivers here at Rapid City Regional Hospital.”
